The Goya name went to Martin& Company in 1974. Jimmie Hendrix used their RangeMaster electric for a while.

Strapped on the back of musicians with strong or leather thongs without a case were common on college campuses in the 60's. Goya guitars were used by some folk singers in the 60's and Stevie Nicks wrote an early song the the guitar. The name is taken from Francisco Jose Goya, the famed painter who included guitars in some of his paintings. New York, in mid 1950's for acoustic guitars made in Sweden by Levin, particularly known for its classical guitars. Back and Sides Appear to be Mahogany(Not sure) and also appear to be solid. The fret board is like new, the frets bear no grooves and the bridge is very tight(and my be newer) The pick up works well but I am not sure of the make it does not have a pre-amp but plugged sounds true and is wired. It appears although 20 years old, to have been used lightly. The instrument is like new, plays rounded, deep tones and has fairly easy action. more including the trim in the center of the back bindings and sound hold art and pick guard.
